What's covered, for how long, and how to make a claim — the same terms for every Helio package.
Draft prepared: July 2026 · Not yet published as final
Whether you choose a grid-tie or hybrid package, big or small, you get the same warranty coverage — no package gets a lesser warranty than another.
Your solar panels are covered by a 25-year manufacturer warranty, passed through to you as the system owner. This covers defects in materials and workmanship in the panels themselves, and typically includes a performance guarantee that panels continue generating at a specified minimum output over that period. Exact manufacturer terms are confirmed in your project contract.
Helio provides a 10-year workmanship warranty covering the quality of the installation itself — mounting, wiring, and setup performed by our vetted installer partner. If an installation defect causes a problem within this period, Helio coordinates the fix. You deal with Helio, not the subcontractor directly.
Inverters and batteries carry their own manufacturer warranties, which vary by equipment brand and model. The specific duration and coverage for your chosen equipment is confirmed in your project contract before installation, not assumed here.
Every customer gets the same free HELIO OS app (currently in beta) for the life of their system, regardless of package size. It's free while in beta and stays free until we announce otherwise.
Standard exclusions across the industry typically include: damage from unauthorized modification or third-party repair, misuse or neglect, and damage from extreme events (severe storms, flooding, fire) beyond normal weather exposure. Your project contract sets out the exact exclusions that apply.
Contact Helio directly — one number, one point of contact, regardless of which installer partner physically installed your system. We coordinate everything on your behalf, including any manufacturer claims.
